I apologise in advance for my nubbiness here because I am fairly sure that I am just missing something obvious ... but I'd be grateful for any pointers in the right direction. :-[
I have been running SP in Integration mode without any problems and now want to use Front Page mode. I'm enabling the option and am not getting a separate Home page and Forum page button (which is how it worked when I first installed SP and looked at both the settings). The Home page in Front Page mode displays the expected blocks, but the only way to navigate to the Forum itself is to use the breadcrumbs.
What am I missing?
Thanks for any help - I'd love to get this working again. :nervous-happy:
SMF version: 2.0.7
SP: 2.3.5

Please stick to this format when posting:
* Which version of SMF you're using.
* Which version of SimplePortal you're using.
* A link to your forum. (Or screenshots, either or).
sounds like a theme issue, are you using a custom theme?
did you install a new theme AFTER installing Simple Portal?

Thanks for the reply.
No, I am not using a custom theme - just the SMF default.
I can only assume that if it's not my nubbiness that it must be a mod conflict that I need to figure out.

Always best to include the list of mods - I know there are a few which edit the menus.

Welcome to SimplePortal, Racketydo!
That sounds like a puzzler. Could you include a link to your forum? A switch to from Integration to FrontPage almost always works, no matter how much of a newbie (or nubby) you are.
Andy is correct -- a list of mods you have installed might help us help you.
You can also try disabling or uninstalling all other mods temporarily (especially any that do anything to your menu buttons) to see if one of them is causing the problem.
Here's a (probably unnecessarily) long version of what andy said:
The funny thing about SimplePortal in Front Page mode is that it "takes over" at index.php (no query string).
That is why SimplePortal had to come up with the ?action=forum action to give a link to the list of boards that is normally shown at index.php, and why it has to add a menu button when
1) The portal is enabled and
2) The portal is not in Integration mode.
If some other mod is interfering with the menu buttons in subs.php, then this could cause your problem.

Rackety do,
I figure you have moved on from this question by now, so I marked it "solved". If that is not correct, please mark it "not solved". Thanks!
