I like to try and stay current but am not crazy about re-doing the entire portal. If I upgrade to 2.35 the correct way will I be starting from scratch?
Thanks
Steve

How do you mean starting from scratch
I mean when I install the latest version am I going to have to set up all the boxes, layout, content,etc..

All your blocks and pages are in the database so the answer is - no, you will not lose anything.
When you install a new version of Simple Portal everything will look like it did before.
But there were bug fixes and updates like viewing permissions on blocks, so check everything is displaying as you want.
It should be just as before.

Finally got it. I am wondering why it has both 2.3.3 and 2.3.5 listed at the bottom of the portal? Also, can I safely delete previous versions from the database?

The footer links could be because you didnt uninstall completely ... not sure.
I think I saw a topic about this - maybe a bug some time ago. Its worth searching for that.
I would test thoroughly before getting rid of old databases. I keep mine for about 3-6 months.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Do you mean delete simple portal tables from the database?
Unless old ones are backed up it could be dangerous. I havent checked if simple portal backs up old version tables - I assumed it uses the same ones.
Or you mean your whole old smf database tables were given a different table prefix as a backup?
It is hard to tell what you mean.
