oops..nevermind. I figured it out. But as long as I do not allow guests, then there is a lot of content I can't put from the forum on the SP page??

You can just change the 'Block Permissions' for each block, so that guests can't see any of them, although it would be nice if SimplePortal automatically detected that SMF setting.

You can post a request the Feature Requests board if you think SP needs it.

This is fairly easy.

Sources/SPortal1-1.php

Find:

Code: [Select]
if (!empty($modSettings['sp_maintenance']) && !allowedTo('sp_moderate'))
Replace:

Code: [Select]
if (!empty($modSettings['sp_maintenance']) && !allowedTo('sp_moderate') || $context['user']['is_guest'])
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

I can't find SPortal1-1.php in my Sources directory in my Sportal 2.3 installation.

Did this question make it to the feature requests?

Edit: Found it: in SimplePortal 2.3 SPortal1-1.php is called PortalBlocks.php, but I still can't find SiNaN's code change.

The files were changed with 2.3.

The file you want is 'Sources/Subs-Portal.php'.

Doesn't look like this issue has been put on the project tracker, its there now: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?issue=295.0

I can't find this line:
Code: [Select]
if (!empty($modSettings['sp_maintenance']) && !allowedTo('sp_moderate'))there either.

BTW I am very impressed with your forcefully handling of things!  :applause:
