custom topic link block

I, am new to smf, and recently using sp, i rum a forum naijafixer.com ,but i need a block to display topic link of my choice and custom tittle for the link, with pagination,  you can visit nairaland.com , there is a featured links on the frontpage, thats exactly what i need.

Will be very glad if my request is granted, as am 100% sure most nigeria webmaster using smf would also be glad,,,

You can make a custom HTML block and just make the links manually.

If you want it to be more dynamic, you can make a custom PHP block and fetch data from the database.Though I'll need to know what kind of topics (like if they're in a specific board or something) to build your query.

Thanks for the quick reply, about using php, i dont want a random topic, i want topics i choose myself.
And about using html, i need pagination, e.g 20 links per page.
