Thanks. Just a doubt,

When I tried a custom HTML block for a christmas count down timer, it simply won't work even after using the HTML provided by the site. My friend added something to block settings to make it work. For Adsense, is there any further step required.

Admin -> Simple Portal ->Blocks -> Add Block -> Custom HTML

That is what i did too, the ad just doesn't show, on my previous site it worked fine, but looks like in blocks the ads won't work.

Matrix you should really make a new topic regarding the matter.

However would you please post the code you are using.

If you are new to Adsense or setting up a new adsense feed, there is a period of delay between when the code goes live and the ads start to appear. This isn't SimplePortal, but Google's delay. You should read the Adsense help area or their getting started guides to learn more about this.

This site is using the HTML code straight from Google Adsense, so there's no reason why it shouldn't show up.

To do that, you would want a custom php block.

And you would need to find some of the code that simple ads adds to the theme to display the ads. You would add that to your custom php block.

It would require some testing.
I'm being intentionally vague, as I am not at all familiar with simple ads.
But I know who is very familiar with simple ads...
