  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

Forum dead after mistake - need help

 :( :'( First let me take the deserved lashings... was trying to upgrade SP 2.3 on smf 1.1.10 board... uploaded the package... and not thinking blew by the error message... I know I know ... I deserve the WELL EARNED lashing for doing the stooopid...

So here's what I have to fix... any help will be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance..

Getting this error on the site: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare sportal_init() (previously declared in /home/pcextrem/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Portal.php:89) in /home/pcextrem/public_html/forum/Sources/SPortal1-1.php on line 47

Caused by blowing by:

./index.php TEST FAILED
./sources/boardindex.php TEST FAILED
./sources/recent.php TEST FAILED

If someone could point me to a thread tha'ts covered this I would appreciate it..

Did you uninstall your old version of SimplePortal before you install SimplePortal 2.3?

That is the most likely cause for your current issue.

Could you please attach those files where install errors occured?

Unfortunatly no, I didn't try to uninstall first... here are the files...thanks

Upload the attached file, hopefully it will get rid of those errors. You should be able to access the package manager, uninstall both versions of SimplePortal, so that none of the old code remains, then reinstall SimplePortal 2.3

Did it.... even stranger...now I'm getting error that reads:

crap... I also have a coppermine gallery that was not used much,  installed outside of SMF....getting database error - http://www.pcextremevolleyball.com/gallery/

Hmm, you still seem to be having some issues on your site. At the bottom of the page there is an error message.

Looks like some parts of the older SimplePortal version might still be there, if you can attach your Subs.php file, then I should be able to fix that. :)
