    Is there a way to add auto scrolling to simple shoutbox?

I know this doesn't answer your question, but having run a shoutbox on multiple forums over the past 8 years the feedback about scrolling shoutboxes is a resounding: "UGGH!"

Leave it out, your members will thank you.

   That's why i was looking for autoscroll to get rid of those ugly bars.

The bars aren't nearly as annoying as auto scroll.  I've seen some other features like silders and stuff like that, but they complicate it.  It doesn't mean I know whats best, to each their own.  Im only saying that the up and down scroll bar is nice.  No issues there.  I get a mountain of complaints when I use auto scroll for even a few minutes.

To get rid of the left to right scroll bars there's some handy dandy code edits on this site for dealing with long words and URLs
