Hey guys --
This is my first time using simple portal on what will eventually be a live site (as, up until now I've been using a wordpress/smf combo).
Anyways, I didn't design this particular site and I have a designer who I think edited a custom theme or something, I'm not 100% sure how her magic occurred. Any ways, I was running through the misc custom theme tutorial and found that a lot of places I was asked to edit didn't exist in my forum's theme files.
I'm not really good with playing with themes and not breaking things, and have already tried to edit things a few times and created naught but a mess of the test boards. Any ideas why we wouldn't have certain areas in our theme that appear to be required for things to function?

If they (files) don't exist in the custom theme directory SMF will use the ones in the default theme directory.

Try the attached file.
Many of the edits were unrequired, because your theme doesn't seem to highlight the current button/link, that would appear to be a bug with the theme, but that is not related to adding the SimplePortal button.

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly! I've been very busy, but I really appreciate the quick work you guys have done, it's fantastic.
One quick question, the forum button actually redirects to the portal page -- is there something I'm supposed to change so it redirects to the actual forum?
Thanks again!

Apologies, there was an edit that I forgot to make, try the attached file.

Thank You so much! You guys are great! A pleasure to work with simple portal! ;D
I've marked the topic as solved.
Now to play with custom pages! Cheers!
