Title: Breadcrumbs menu inside of a SP block, possible?
Post by: III on April 01, 2011, 01:53:04 AM
Hello everyone.  I have been working on using SimplePortal to modify my SMF into a full fledged site.  So far, I love the results.  However, while it is not a major issue, it annoys me nonetheless.

When using side blocks while viewing the forum, the blocks to the left and right are not level with the center mass of the page.  This is due to the breadcrumbs menu that resides above the forum.

I love the aspect of the collapsible blocks and such, and I had an idea, but this is not   my usual cup of tea, so to speak.  Is it possible to place the breadcrumbs menu within a SP block?  Thus allowing it to be collapsed?

I have search the code trying to find it, but have failed.  That is unless, of course, SMF coding refers to it as a 'Link Tree' rather than 'breadcrumbs'.  In which case, I have found it, but am a bit unsure of what to do next.  Forgive my n00biness, please.  I am kind of jumping into all this head first.  This is the first time I have used SMF, as well as having used a portal mod.

Any ideas, or friendly shoves into the right direction are more than appreciated.

[EDIT]: I have found a bit of information at this post; HERE (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1925.msg13005#msg13005)

At the very least, I see I can move the link tree, which would also solve the problem...providing I could figure out where the end result in that post had 2 link trees, and remove the old one...

However, I am still curious about the initial question...though I even have an idea about that as well now =)  Regardless, if anyone has any ideas, I would be thrilled to see them.
