Title: Items that are on the front page

I am wondering how to exclude just certain post from going to the front page (recent post/topics). At times I dont want a certain post to hit the front portal page. Is this possible?

Also it would be great to have a voting system so that only post with so many votes could make the front page.

I don't think it can be done without using the articles section (can select posts). Or you will need custom code for  the recent posts and topics block.
I use a custom version (Blue's) which does allow boards to be excluded. Maybe you could make a request to input topic IDs to exclude.
