Title: After portal set up in public root folder, cannot access subfolder with browser
Post by: andy on September 10, 2011, 04:04:10 PM
Latest version of smf and portal

After setting up the portal in the root I cannot access a subfolder. This has an installation of a gallery but constantly redirected to the portal forum page when entering a gallery url.

Cant see any settings to stop this.

Welcome to Simple Portal.

To properly address your situation, we need additional information, such as a link to your site, your current server setup, other modifications installed, and any errors that are in either System Log or Forum Error Log.

Regards.

SMF 2.0, SP 2.3.3
Just added the portal and moved the forum from a subdirectory to the main folder (bye bye Joomla).  For some reason it is redirecting all urls back to the forum - I cant access my gallery (Menalto G3) with a browser now.

I have tried to find any setting for redirection but cant see any in SMF??? Nothing else was changed except moving up the forum to root and installing SP.
All I can think of trying is allowing urls to the gallery folder in a htaccess file. Or maybe a mod that controls redirects... this topic isnt my strong point  :P

Gallery
http://outdoorclubjapan.com/gallery/

http://outdoorclubjapan.com/gallery/index.php

Using the gallery urls it redirects to:
http://outdoorclubjapan.com/index.php?action=forum

Sure its something simple...
All I wanted to do was get the gallery in an iframe, which I managed for older event photos:
http://outdoorclubjapan.com/index.php?page=old_photos

Any help greatly appreciated,
Andy

Oh, I couldnt find any errors. Odd though, I can access the Joomla folder I put the old portal in.

It wasnt a portal redirection problem ... sorry. I had installed the SMF gallery at the same time as the portal and it created files in  the subdirectory .../gallery/
ftp-ed new files and its ok - sorry for the trouble.
