Hi folks
I am looking at adding a comment box to my SP pages. Please see http://www.clinicalresearchsociety.org/index.php?page=cro_outsourcing_strategies . This is a SP page using all html code in one single top block. I am looking at adding a comment box. Please let me know what ideas you get. I don't want to have a hosted javascript solution....
thanks in advance
Cheers!
Sam

That want to make hard file changes and some database too. Therefore, that is not possible for now.

In SMF, the easiest way to handle a topic with replies is via a forum topic.
If you want to think of it as a page with comments, it sounds as though you are thinking of one blog entry and its replies. SMF's blog block is not set up to do this (and only supports one blog mod, anyway), so you will want to create a couple of functions to grab a blog entry and display it the way you like.
If you choose a blog mod that is easy for you to work with, you should be able to figure out how to put one blog topic on a page, display its comments (replies), and include a "comment" (reply) button.
The big benefit that the blog mod may offer you is that it might make the blog's board invisible to those browsing the board index.
Other than that, you may wind up doing standard SMF/SSI stuff to create your perfect "blog posting" page. It all depends on the useful things the mod has in it.

Solution: Make a ShoutBox, Make a "Bottom" Block, and config the block to show it, in the desired page.
8)
PD: you can modifity the shoutbox template(To convert the current design, to a real comments page), editing the file shoboxtemplate.php
