I'm glad my 6 buttons mod is useful with SimplePortal pages, it actually contains 4 sub menu items too, with permissions for showing them (you would set these permissions the same as you Simple Portal Page Permissions), that s total of 30 buttons, 24 in the menus and the 6 buttons themselves, I also have a menu extender for button 1 and more coming up for the other buttons :D

The best place to discuss a mod with the author is in the mods support thread.
I wouldn't count on many new mods coming out for 1.1.11.
 
The information in the themes tutorial (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=148.0 (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=148.0)) shows how to add some specific buttons. You can use this information to figure out how to add any button you want to the navigation bar.
