Title: Error when attempting to install SP
Post by: Timgt on June 27, 2009, 04:47:11 PM
I get this error:

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/webpage/Packages/temp/./install1-1.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /webpage/Sources/Packages.php on line 556

I have SMF 1.1.9 and SP 2.2.2

I have a brand new SMF install.    This is what happened to get error:

Click admin option to add package
It shows me "Will perform these steps"  I click install

Error shows up

The error appears to be in the Packages/temp directory with the install1-1.php

That temp directory is not being created is that an issue?

I have reinstalled many times and cannot get this to work at all.

It keeps on giving me the same error.  Please help!

Have you tried creating a /temp directory in the /Packages directory, and CHMODding it to 775 or 777?

Try that and see if it doesn't help.

Okay I just did that and it says it was successful.

Then it redirects me to the SMF home page on my install.

But all I see are the SMF default forum, I don't see anything about a portal at all.  Nothing looks different.   It shows nothing about SimplePortal, not a single thing.  Nothing has changed at all.  I searched the entire admin page of SMF, nowhere can I find any settings about SimplePortal or anything to "Activate" it and make it work.

What am I missing here?

SMF 1.1.9 and SP 2.2.2

In some cases although Package Manager says it did install the mod, it doesn't make any changes to your files mostly due to a server related issue. If you can attach your:

./index.php
./SSI.php
./Sources/Admin.php
./Sources/BoardIndex.php
./Sources/Display.php
./Sources/Help.php
./Sources/Load.php
./Sources/ManagePermissions.php
./Sources/ManageServer.php
./Sources/QueryString.php
./Sources/Recent.php
./Sources/Subs.php
./Themes/default/index.template.php
./Themes/default/Display.template.php

files here, I can install the mod manually for you.
