Hey,
I'm using SMF 2.0 RC3, SimplePortal 2.3.2, and PMXBlog 0.953.
I'm trying to add a custom block to my homepage that will show the ten latest blog posts from PMXBlog, however I can't figure out how to get it to work.
Firstly, the "Blogs" block doesn't seem to work with my PMXBlog or SMFBlog which I tried before... I have changed my PMXBlog action to ?action=blogs (instead of ?action=pmxblog), but it doesn't work on a default install anyway. How does the Blogs block work, if it does?

Have you considered using an html block as an alternative?
-
Not really. I don't see how using an HTML block could replace a fully functional blogging system, easily... :/
I read somewhere that the only currently supported blog is zCommunity, but it could be easily updated. Any idea to easily, upda.... or just update it to support PMXBlog?
-
As you can see in PortalBlocks.php, function sp_blog currently only supports zcommunity.
Support for SMFblog and PMXblog is in the works: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5333.0 (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5333.0)
This is scheduled for SimplePortal version 2.4.
I expect we'll hear another update from SimplePortal's chief developer in another 3 weeks or so, as he will pushing to get the new version out.

Thanks AngelinaBelle! I guess I should've read the announcements first ^_^ I'm so eager to start working more on my blog, but I guess I have to get the design done first and the rest of the site organized before I can open up, so I guess I can wait a while ;)

There's a lot to learn here, isn't there? :)
It seems like a long time coming, but I know it will get here.
