SimplePortal Copyright removed after SMF Upgarde
« on: May 22, 2009, 12:46:50 PM »
Did anyone else lose the copyright for SP after upgrading to RC1-1?

I did the upgrade manually to avoid interfering with mods and don't recall changing anything to do with SP but the copyright has disappeared from the bottom of my pages?

Everything working fine but happy to edit so that it reappears. It's worth the plug on my site  ;)

You could try uninstalling SimplePortal and then reinstalling it.

Otherwise can you please post your 'QueryString.php' and 'Subs-SPortal2.php' files?

Would you first try replacing your Subs-SPortal2.php file with the attached one?
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Sorry its taken a while to gte back on this one - had to do the day job to pay the bills for a while.

SiNan, that file had no effect. Rather than uninstall and reinstall can anyone see what's wrong with these files...

Thanks
W

I have this same problem on my site http://www.gwgoodolddays.net.  The SP copyright disappeared after upgrading to 2.0 RC1-1 (Which btw was the worse upgrade experience I have ever seen from SMF).  Anyway, dont punish me for not showing the copy right  :-[.

@willerby,
I had a look over those files, the attached files should have the copyright. :)

@amlucent,
If you post those files then I can fix it for you as well.

Any ideas why it would have done that for either of you? If you used the small update then that issue shouldn't occur.

How did you both updated your forums? It shouldn't happen as Nathaniel said, unless you replace the file altogether.

 :-X

I think I was in a hurry when I did this upgrade and made an educated guess at which files it was safe to upload as replacements and which files needed editing manually due to mods. Sorry.
