Two Questions
« on: February 25, 2010, 06:11:17 AM »
SMF version 1.1.11
Simple Portal 2.3.1

Since i installed Simple Portal i can't delete Smiley's through the Edit smiley's tab and when i choose the set smiley's order tab i'm not getting the whole "field" to see. I used to get a slider so i could go sideways to see the rest but that's gone. I attached screenshots from both.

Second question is when i add a page to my portal it doesn't show any way to get there on the frontpage. I'm have standalone mode.

this is the link to my site http://www.thesorceressandcompany.com/index.php

Thanks in advance  :)

This doesn't seem to be SimplePortal...

Does this happen on the default theme? What about other browsers?

Thanks for replying ccbtimewiz

I use a colored version of the default theme.
The weirdest thing is that when i was on my laptop and i used the compatible mode it did show everything. In a different way but at least i could get to everything.

Can it has something to do with my block settings?

What about the added page not showing.
My Frontpage is at the moment only build up out of blocks. But i want the possibility of adding pages to it too.

It seems to happen with IE8 on Compatibility Mode. This would give you scrollbars at least:

Themes/default/ManageSmileys.template.php

Code: (Find) [Select]
name="smileyForm" id="smileyForm"
Code: (Replace) [Select]
name="smileyForm" id="smileyForm" style="width: 750px; overflow: auto;"
Code: (Find) [Select]
<form action="', $scripturl, '?action=smileys;sa=editsmileys" method="post" accept-charset="', $context['character_set'], '">
<table border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4" align="center" width="80%" class="tborder" style="padding: 1px;">

Code: (Replace) [Select]
<form action="', $scripturl, '?action=smileys;sa=editsmileys" method="post" accept-charset="', $context['character_set'], '" style="width: 750px; overflow: auto;">
<table border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4" align="center" width="80%" class="tborder" style="padding: 1px;">
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

You need to add a button or link to your page yourself. SimplePortal doesn't automatically add it.

Checkout this tutorial:

How do you add custom tabs to the Core (default) theme menu?

Also this block code may help:
