Am using SP 2.3.3 and SMF 2.0 and have just added the Inno theme and the block title boxes and text aren't showing. Any ideas please?
-
Have you accidently checked the box which asks for the titles not to be shown?
-
Just an observation. If the no title box is checked you won't see the collapse button. Might just be something with the Default Title Class selection.
-
By changing Default Title Class from catbg to catbg3 or titlebg2 I can see the text but there isn't a bar - the No title box isn't ticked.
-
I tried the theme on my test install. Got the same thing.
Looks like a theme issue to me. Looking at the CSS
h4.catbg, h4.catbg2, h3.catbg, h3.catbg2, .table_list tbody.header td.catbg {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
padding-right: 9px;
}
you could try the custom- Custom Title Class: and Custom Title Style:
or edit the css for your theme.
Also make sure that portal.css is copied from the default to the inno theme.
-
Someone has already asked the theme designer about it on SMF and he says it's an SP issue.
Any ideas what I would have to put in Custom Title Class/Custom Title Style to make them show?
-
Not an issue with Sp - Just the way the theme is set up.
Try this
Will will have to put this in every block - and for new blocks
Custom Title Class: <name of the class> you can call this what ever ... I used catbar1
Custom Title Style: background: url("http://localhost/prod/Themes/Inno_2/images/theme/cat_bar.png") repeat-x scroll 0 0 transparent;
NOTE: REPLACE THE localhost/prod with your URL -
This worked on my test install forum .. Try it on 1 block to see if it works
Here is a pic

That works brilliantly - thank you. ;D

Your welcome. Glad, I could help.

Hmm - solved the Inno problem but caused another one unfortunately.
The attached is a re-coloured DS Natural and the bottom block has had the code taken out as a test, whereas it's in for the top one.
The colouring on the top one is fine but I can't get rid of the weird end - portal.css IS in the theme css file.
-
Which theme are you wanting to use? Or which block style top or bottom? Are you planing on mupliple themes... ?
-
I'd like to be able to offer a choice of a few themes. Although the code you told me works well for themes which don't show the title bar at all - once it's in it shows one bar on top of another for the themes that did show the bar naturally (if that makes sense).
I'd like to be able to code so that it only adds a bar to themes that one otherwise wouldn't show on. Busy re-colouring the Stripes theme by LogoOff which also doesn't show a title bar and have found that I can have a bar, text showing and block background showing by setting Style Options to titlebg2 and windowbg2 - but the bar is narrow and square cornered, plus it totally alters the other themes and I end up with a mixture of sizes and colours.
The image shows the titlebg2 and windowbg2 settings on the top block.

Your going to have to modify the index.css for each them that you want to have. That also depends on which class you use with the SP block. Since you want to use multiple themes compounds your issue. It also depends on how that theme is set up. Your original problem the theme had no background image for that class. That is the way the theme is designed.
-
Does this solve the problem? SimplePortal's installer offers to modify all your themes to work with SimplePortal, but it cannot handle themes installed AFTER SimplePortal, and it might not always be able to do what it needs to do with some custom themes.
Were you able to figure out what you need to add to index.css to make this work?
-
Have found a happy compromise - thank you.

I'm so glad you solved the problem!
