Title: database error while installing simpleportal
Post by: googlemuscle on December 03, 2012, 11:07:35 AM: Ok I intalled today simpleportal 2.3.5
I removed it because I saw an other portal mod so I installed that one.
Because I didnt liked it I removed and tried to install simpleportal 2.3.5 again but now its giving me this error:
Duplicate key name 'state'
File: /usr/export/www/hosting/haxhome/public_html/smf/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php
Line: 419
So I cant install simpleportal anymore.
Im using smf 2.0 and before I deleted simpleportal it was working good!

Any solutions for this?

...you may want to re-install the other portal, then uninstall and drop the tables

I dont know if that is the right way?
and I dont see that check box?

Try to uninstall it manually. Make changes backwards:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=1104;attach=200154;smf_version=2.0.2

Remember to backup all edited files.

Post by: andy on December 14, 2012, 06:03:51 AM: It would be easier just to replace the files with the ones before mod install - kept in the zips in the backup folder of packages - wouldnt it?

Doing it manually would be hard for some people. And for me, I prefer just putting in clean SMF files using the large upgrade package and reinstalling mods - very quick, even with 20-30 mods.
