Individual pages
« on: February 10, 2009, 06:05:38 PM »
Is it possible to have seperate pages using simple portal.

Hmm what I mean is I want to use SP on my team website and we could use a roster page. I can create a custom block as a toobar no problem but can that be linked to a seperate page not a forum post?

Inside a custom block, you can link to a external html site without
a problem. On my site i have a custom BBC block with different
links to external sites.

Code: [Select]
[color=silver][b]SITE-LINKS[/b][/color]
[URL=http://www.playstationliga.de/home/][color=silver]PlayStationLiga[/color][/URL]
[URL=http://de.playstation.com/ps3/][color=silver]SONY PS3 Seite[/color][/URL]
[URL=http://de.youtube.com/playstation][color=silver]PS3 YOUTUBE[/color][/URL]

You can also make it in a HTML or PHP block, your decision.

What if I want to keep the look of the theme and have the new link to load where the articles are displayed?

This site is doing exactly what I'm after.

When you click on the roster link etc.

Ok, I see  :nervous-happy:

I had the same problem on my site. I have a html site where i
collectet many infos and pictures about the games we play in
our clan (maps, weappons, perks, .....). I build this site programm
called NetObjectsFusion in HTML.

My solution is probably not the best way, but it works fine for me:

I have installed a MOD called SITE INTEGRATION MOD. This mod
makes it possible that you can access external html via a action
commands (the way smf works).

No you have to create a empty html site. In this site you
you can integrate your external HTML (for example your rooster
site) via IFRAME.

Has to look this way:

Code: [Select]
<iframe
 src="http://www.YOURDOMAIN.de/YOURFORUM/YOURSITE.html"
 frameborder="no" height="1400" scrolling="no"
 width="100%"> </iframe>

Now i have created a PHP Block, where i can call the site via
the action command, the SiteIntegrationMod generates.

Code: [Select]
global $scripturl, $modSettings, $user_info;

echo '<a href="http://dracula.homepage.t-online.de/beta/SemperFi.html"><b>HOMEPAGE</b></a><br>';
echo '<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=database" ><b>DATENBANK</b></a><br>';
echo '<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=chatroom" ><b>CHATROOM</b></a><br>';
echo '<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mlist" ><b>FORUM-MEMBER</b></a>';

The site now fits in my forum. It shows the index buttons, the
forum index logo ........

It looks like its part of the forum.

If you are refering to editing that particular mod so that it shows the pages differently, then you should ask about it in the SMF support topic for that mod.
