Title: I need an anchor!

I wasn't sure where to put this >< Here we go..
I'm not thinking about the anchors you secure a boat with.

I'm thinking about a function to make a link that does not open a new window when you click on it; it just moves the view of whoever clicks on it to the place you have anchored the link. I found a tag on SMF, but it was not compatible with my current version. I'm running SMF 1.1.7 by the way.

Oh, and if this made no sense I will go shoot myself.. Or just try to explain harder.

EDIT: I am thinking about something that resembles a BBC-tag or whatever.

It's built-in BBcode. :P

Firsty, make the link where the anchor is, like

[iurl=#ref1]Link to the first anchor[/iurl]

And then put the place where the screen moves to when you click that link by doing:

[anchor=ref1]Place to go[/anchor]
