Title: What version to install?

Hola!
I wanted to install Simple Portal in my Spanish forum so I installed "Simple Portal 2.1_Spanish_Latin.tar.gz"
It was installed successfully but never showed in my forum.  I got frustrated and removed it.

But I would like to have a Spanish portal in my forum and Simple Portal looks like what I would like to have. So, I would like to try again. But first, can someone guides me on what Spanish version I should install and what to do to make it work?  I am new at all this so I will need someone with patience who can give me clear, detailed instructions. 

My theme is Dilbert and I am using SMF 1.1.8.

hola, primeramente necesitaria saber cual es el idioma de tu foro???

como ves, elm único idioma oficial aqui es spanish_latin si tienes otro idioma, bajate el zip de spanish_latin y renombre los siguientes archivos:

dependiendo del idioma que utilices:

Sportal.spanish_latin-utf8.php   renombralo a

Sportal.spanish_es-utf8.php o
Sportal.spanish_es.php
Sportal.spanish_latin.php

de igual manera renombra los siguientes:

SportalAdmin.spanish_latin-utf8.php
SportalHelp.spanish_latin-utf8.php
spanish_latin-utf8.xml

ahora abre el archivo package-info.xml y
reemplaza

esta seccion con la terminacion de tu idoma:

<require-file name="SPortal.spanish_latin-utf8.php" destination="$languagedir" />
<require-file name="SPortalAdmin.spanish_latin-utf8.php" destination="$languagedir" />

<modification reverse="true">spanish_latin-utf8.xml</modification>
<remove-file name="$languagedir/SPortal.spanish_latin-utf8.php" />
<remove-file name="$languagedir/SPortalAdmin.spanish_latin-utf8.php" />
<remove-file name="$languagedir/SPortalHelp.spanish_latin-utf8.php" />
</uninstall>
</package-info>

guardalo y vuelvelo a comprimir subelo como un mod y listo tendras tu traducción del simpleportal al español de tu foro.
