Simple Portal Page Category Listing (block) ?
« on: April 10, 2010, 12:15:41 AM »
Is it possible to have a page in Simple Portal show a listing of all the pages in a certain category?

What I'm trying to accomplish is to create a list of car clubs by state, and I want to do them in Simple Portal pages so they're searchable with the site's search.

Each page in the car clubs category will be a bio page and I'd like to be able to have one page show a list of all pages in a specified category.

I don't know what code would list this.  It could be a page or a php block

The post below gives part of the explanation as to why pages aren't separated into categories.
http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=5333.msg32403#msg32403

SimplePortal 2.4 will be adding some new ways to help admin improve navigation of pages, however pages are ultimately designed as static content, so we'll be concentrating on adding such features to the articles functionality.

Awesome!  I would really like to just be able to make a alpha numeric directory listing like they do for member pages, if you get my drift.  If it helps to understand the intended purpose: I want to make a listing of car clubs.  Other uses could include a restaurant list, or what have you..
