Title: IMG tag Board News Bug
Post by: kaamaru on June 28, 2010, 07:34:57 AM
You may not think this is a bug, but I think it is XD. If you set a maximum amount of characters in a Board News block it shouldn't cut off half way through an IMG tag. It should ether stop before or after.

This is not a bug.

The article/board news length limiter in SP 2.3.1 was far more complex than the current one, it could do that (most of the time), at the expense of being much slower (meaning that page load times were increased for the portal page). It was decided by the development team that its better to have a 'cutoff' tag that allows the admin to choose where the cutoff occurs if they are not happy with the cutoff location given by the length that they have chosen in the admin panel.

Moving this topic to the Bogus bugs board.
