Topic: [News Block] Pagination.. page 1 thats it

Dunno why but it seems the news block only shows "Pages: [1] " , when it should have lots more pages to show, not even sure if it ever worked at showing more pages but I think it did once.

as you can see lot more topics, should be lot more pagination pages on the portal frontpage not just 1.

... it is a custom php block that requires you to manually change some settings at the onset of it including board id(s).

Starting Post ID:
Posts Per Page:

makes no difference it only shows 1 page

I looked into the problem on your site and noticed that actually manually filling in the link /?articles=4 and /?articles=8 do not work.

Anything in your Forum Error Log, perhaps? What other mods do you have installed?

there is no article pages.. the thing is set to show news topics from the news announcement board which http://kraftzone.net/forum/index.php?board=6.0

which it does.. only the first 4.. but no pages for all the rest of the topics in that forum board.

Just tried something

Topics to Display: 4000
Starting Post ID:  1
Posts Per Page: 7


Now it shows the pages... it seems Topics to display doesn't mean the number of topics to show per page... but the total in all pages.. and posts per page is yeh...

well that was confusing... anyway its solved now

That was one of my guesses yeah, the wording is a bit confusing.

?articles is what controls the pagination for displaying which page

You have to make sure that Topics to Display setting is higher than Posts per page setting. Otherwise all topics to be displayed will on the first and there won't be any more topics left to be displayed on the other pages.

Agree. Updated the other day to 2.3.5 and pagination was fine.
