Tabbed block in block or alternative (tabs panel/ui tabs)
« on: June 08, 2011, 10:36:37 PM »
Arvo All,

I found the Block in Block coded and added it to my homepage which works great although I would like to make it more compact do to the amount of RSS feeds that I would like to add.  With that said, does anyone know if there is code available to actually add tabs to a Block in Block so that only one of the RSS feeds shows up but you can click on the tab next to it and it shows those feeds from that news source.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I know that this can probably be done through an html custom coding block but things take me a little longer that they used to so I find it easier to see if the code is already out there.

If you go to the following website you will see a block with 3 tabs going to different stories and that is what I am looking for.

Thank you for your time and help

Update..

I found what I am looking for which is called a tab panel or ui tab.  I have searched the forums here and found one or two threads but not much help do to the fact I am still trying to figure out where to start at.

What I do know is that I will be using a css & js file along with the html code block that goes into the custome html block.  I have spent hours searching the net and for a sample and have found some but they are all missing a little something and just not quite sure what to do.  I still don't even know where to put the css & js file although it will proably be in the defauld theme directory.

One of the sites for recommended learning by another member here on another post was w3schools but I learn a little better by breaking down code then try to learn to write new code at my age.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
