Title: Moving URLs & Link Tree
Post by: auctionguy on December 04, 2014, 02:54:32 AM
Hi, I just installed Simple Portal and everything looks good so far. It looks like the URl's changed and the link tree changed.

The homepage is now at /index.php and the forum is at /forum. Is there an easy way to change the homepage to the example.com and the forum to index.php? Also, is there a way to change the link tree to make the portal the top tier?

Hello and welcome to SimplePortal!

I'm not exactly sure where you want to move the portal page, however, SimplePortal has the Standalone Portal Mode that allows you to have your portal page wherever (within the limits of your domain) you want. Have a look at the following two documents for how to:

http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=general_settings
http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=set_up_standalone_portal

If you use the Standalone Portal Mode, the linktree will be automatically set to include portal page as the top level.
