Title: Customize Error Message
Post by: Spovik on July 01, 2011, 09:56:28 PM
First off, SMF 2.0 Gold & SimplePortal 2.3.3

Currently I have a custom page.  When a user is not logged in and tries to access the page, they get the following error:

"The page you requested cannot be found."

I'd like to modify that to remind them to log in.  I've searched high and low for a specific PHP file to edit, and I had no luck.  I found the error string in languages/SPortal.english.php within the TAR.GZ, but had no luck with modifying that either.

Any tips?

If you change the string in SPortal.english.php, where it is used in your template's language directory (or in the default), you should see the change immediately.
