how to make gallery block shows  custom size thumbnail size ? for example 250x250 in sidebar

SimplePortal does not come with any easy ways to do this.
This would require a little understanding of your gallery mod and some customization of simpleportal as well.

If you can give a link to your forum, I might be able to make a suggestion that could get you started.
