Title: Make news articles 'commentable'
Post by: Ravaa on June 01, 2013, 08:01:28 AM
Hi

I have a custom HTML block which I use as a 'latest news' section, however it just isn't cutting it for me. I'm after something that allows the following:

1) A block which I can add news to, and it will only show the latest article. All previous articles will be in a separate tab at the top (where it says home, forum, etc, then NEWS).

2) Each news article, especially the latest one, will be commentable. Users should be able to go on the home page, see the news article, and click on a link just under the article to add a comment.

Is this doable? There may already be a mod for this that I don't know about.

Thanks.

News articles are directly tied with your forum, you can however create the guise and let comments be posted on the frontpage as if it was there... but have it also directly post to the forums as well using internal post functions.

It's not super difficult but it's not a super easy task as I'm uncertain as to what you want. This is more of a customization request than a support request, however, as the functionality you need help with does not exist at all.

I am moving this post to a customization board.  If you can give more specifics, it sounds as though Bullet is willing to help you figure out how to make it happen on your board.
