  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

Error uploading the packet

i try to use the packet manager to upload the tar.gz file...

but i receive this error:
The packet you're trying to upload is not valid or corrupt

i downloaded it form this site... :(

Try redownloading the package.

If that doesn't work, try uploading the package via ftp to your Packages directory.

nothing to do... i uploaded by FTP, but it doesn't appear in SMF packets... so i can't install...

i have SMF 1.1.10...

i can use any other packet... i dont understand what it's happening with simpleportal... :(

i downloaded 2.3 and it worked... so i think it's a problem with the 2.3.1 format, tar.gz

now i try to upgrade it...

That .tar.gz package has worked for hundreds of other admin who have used it to upgrade to/install SimplePortal 2.3.1. There aren't any problems with the package itself, its more likely that there are problems with your server configuration and the functions used by SMF to read .tar.gz packages (or something similar).

Try extracting the package on your computer (a tool like izarc will do it under windows), then upload the contents to 'Packages/SimplePortal2.3.1' (create a new folder in the packages directry).
