I just made a big mistake I guess.
My forums are at /forum and I put the PortalStandalone.php in the public_html root directory.
Path was good, changed it to index.php.
Now my forums are not reachable anymore. :0
So I thought things would be fixed when the index.php (in fact portalstandalone.php) would be removed again. Nope, I got a forbidden.
So I put it back.
When I visit http://www.myforums.org I get this error:
Wrong $forum_dir value. Please make sure that the $forum_value variable points to your forum's directory.
However, my forum value -is- pointing to the correct forums directory /home/myname/public_html/forum so that is correct.
Visiting my normal forum url http://www.myforums.org/forum will result in a 403 error.
How can I fix this?

Update: I put the original index.php from simpleportal back.
Now I see the pages again, however I can't login.

Fixed it by playing around with backups. Removed simpleportal and reinstalled it again.
Then did it in the correct order (first adjust settings in control panel), and now it works. ;)
I love backups. ;D

Glad to hear you fixed the issue.. Don't forget to put back the custom portal template because atm some blocks are misaligned again.

Well.. that's the strange thing. The custom portal template wasn't removed, it's still there, but still the alignment has issues.
I'll post it in the other thread.
