Title: Portal viewing only

Hi,

I know it's awkward but I'd like members to view the portal's of boards only, if they want to view and join a discussion etc. within the board they will need join it.  This would allow members to see exactly what the board is about before they join it.

SimplePortal does not create separate portals for boards or categories.
SimplePortal also does not have a mechanism for handling members joining boards before viewing and posting.
I think the way to do that would be to create a membergroup for each board, limit viewing of the board to members of the group, and allow members to join or request permission to join the groups associated with each boards. SimplePortal does not include a way to handle any of those details, though.
