Custom Display Options
« on: June 02, 2009, 02:43:34 AM »
Hi.

I current have numerous custom pages/actions using this as a guideline.

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=261151.msg1701428#msg1701428

I'm trying to load the same block onto several of the pages using the Custom Display Options.

I figured this out for one page..... ~action|page1 , but how do i string several of them together so that the block will display on action=page1 page2 or page3 for example?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Gerry.

This should do it:

Code: [Select]
page1, page2, page3, page4
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

The current Custom Display Option setup for this block is

~action|chgyprofile

I want to add ~action|chgypr and ~action|chgysec

so that this block loads for all three pages.

Use commas to add more:

Code: [Select]
~action|chgypr, ~action|chgysec
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

When I do that, it only works on the first one in the list.

~action|chgypr, ~action|chgyprofile, ~action|chgysec

Try upgrading to SimplePortal 2.2.2, an issue with Display options in SP 2.2 appears to be fixed.

(If the "upgrade" function doesn't solve it, then try completly reinstalling SimplePortal - You shouldn't lose any data.)

Any updates on this issue ehsizzup? Did you manage to get the display options to work properly?

Yes.  Thank you.

But i did have to change one more thing....I also had one board selected.  When I removed it and added it to the custom, it worked fine with

~action|page1, ~action|page2, ~action|page3, ~board|2.0

That was probably the issue all along.

Thanks again.

If it is action, you just use the action itself. And for the board, you can use the integer 1.

I mean, this is:

~action|page1, ~action|page2, ~action|page3, ~board|2.0

same as this:

page1, page2, page3, 2
