Title: Paid subscription block

I did a quick search and also browsed the download. I am looking for a block to offer paid subscriptions. Does it exist or can it be made?

This software is awesome BTW

Welcome to SMF and SimplePortal.

It COULD be made.  You would likely want to copy some of the code from the subscriptions page out into a custom php block.  But, for a beginner like yourself, it could be difficult.
I would suggest you take up some simpler php projects (like the banner rotator, for example), learn a little about PHP, HTML, CSS, javascript, and SMF, and then come back to this one.

The issue is that people go to school for years to learn this stuff. In the time it will take me to learn it, I could miss out on valuable subscription. It isn't exactly accented with a bright neon sign saying please subscribe. It is actually very easy to never notice it. But I suppose I will do my best to learn  :0

I agree.  That is a problem.  If you are looking for someone to do the work for you, you might try the "help wanted" (either paid or free) board(s) of the Simplemachines.org website.
