Title: portal home page

when i enable simple portal, my home page is blank.  how do i make like a custom page like a "welcome to my site" page?

I'm not sure what you mean? You should create blocks. If you just want a welcome text, go to SimplePortal Admin and click "Add Block". Then select the HTML block and write what you want to be shown on the page in the content box.
