Title: New isntall of SImply Portal causing errors in log?
Post by: sepulchre on June 15, 2009, 07:48:57 PM
Guys, I've recently installed SMF and simpleportal 2.2.2 but I'm getting the following error -

8: Undefined index: error_sp_no_post_found
File: /home/xxxxxx/public_html/forum/Sources/SPortal1-1.php
Line: 1411

Now I'll put my hands up and say I'm very new to this so please bear with me  :-[

Any suggestions?

TIA :)

Okay, that error is being caused because there is an error with some SP code that shows an error message. The edit below will fix the error with the error message (so that specific issue won't appear in your error logs), but it won't fix the issue itself. Do you have any forum posts? That error message should only show if you have no posts in your forum.

Edit to fix undefined error.
Code: (Find (SPortal1-1.php)) [Select]
error_sp_no_post_found
Code: (Replace) [Select]
error_sp_no_posts_found

Thanks for the replie, I'll try the fix tonight :)

The forum does have replies, its also has groups which are not allowed to view any forums (if that makes sense) could that be the cause?

site - www.armyofghostsclan.co.uk

its a new site so its pretty basic just now

To answer your question, that error is probably being caused by the members than cannont view the forums.

Marked as solved.
