Title: Is there a way, to show Mediawiki content in a block?

Hi There!

I want to show (selected) Mediawiki content i a block (HTML or i think PHP would better, i suggest...)

Dont want to show all, only the first xxx letters (or maybe x amount of words), the first picture (if the wiki-article have one) and a [read more] link, what goes to the wiki...

Any idea, how to do this?
