Problems with collapse functions, and another tid bit
« on: November 22, 2009, 11:37:33 PM »
First, I'd like to say thank you to all who have worked hard making this an awesome mod!! 8)

I'm using 1.1.10, and SP 2.3.1.

The first issue I'm having is the boxes won't collapse if a member is logged in. This holds for both the minus symbol in the box itself as well as the two small squares for collapsing the left or right side. It's the same in IE or FF. When logged out, they work fine.

To go along with it, the + signs for advanced editing of boxes in the admin section don't work either.

Can anyone help?

As for the tidbit, the entire screen looks great in FF. But in IE, the boxes have a white empty space at the bottom. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!

This is not a SP error, believe it or not.

Looking into your source code, it appears you made logical mistakes in your JavaScript, as well as using non-elements in the script tag (using CDATA that way isn't right as you haven't closed the previous tag..)

Right around here:

Quote
if (window.addEventListener)
window.addEventListener("load", staticbar, false)
else if (window.attachEvent)
window.attachEvent("onload", staticbar)
else if (document.getElementById)
window.onload=staticbar

      var smf_theme_url = "http://www.koolimportoffroad.com/forum/Themes/default";
      var smf_images_url = "http://www.koolimportoffroad.com/forum/Themes/default/images";
      var smf_scripturl = "http://www.koolimportoffroad.com/forum/index.php";
      var smf_iso_case_folding = false;
      var smf_charset = "UTF-8";
   //

Did you create these hacks, or are these mods? If they're mods, feel free to attach your index.template.php file from your ./Themes/theme_name/ folder and we'll repair it for you.

I've swapped out a couple of images in the default theme, and changed a couple of colors in the CSS. Other than that, the only other changes have been mods.

Unfortunately the result was still the same. Hopefully I didn't make some newbie mistake.

The category collapse buttons still work if this is a useful clue. 8)

Does this work?

Changes made:

Added <![CDATA and // to the first block of javascript
Added before the section where it defines the smf_images_url and other variables.

Yes!!!  It works perfectly now.

Thank you both for your help. May you have a wonderful day! 8)

There is another site I'm working on, and it will no doubt get SP on it as well!! ;D
