Title: editing themes w/notepad - Keeps tuning everything into one line
Post by: ScottDB on July 27, 2009, 01:55:30 AM
Hi all, I know this probably isn't the right place to post but every time I try to save a index.template.php file with notepad it keeps tuning everything into one line. No matter what type of encoding or file type I use. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

I would recommend a more robust text editor! A good free one is http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/

I recommend using Notepad++.

Ended up not being my notepad. It was my File Zilla. I did go to my other editor that I like a lot better though. Crimson editor.

Yeah, FileZilla has some issues as I noted before.

I used to code in UltraEdit, but since I got my own computer, I have been coding in Dreamweaver. Wordpad works fine for me in school, except that it doesn't have lines.
