Add/Edit Block; Display Options not displaying :o{
« on: June 08, 2015, 06:16:00 AM »
 Mon 8 Jun 2015, 5:01 pm

Guys,

v2.0.10  http://www.KhonKaenForum.net

I want to add a block to a page.  In the edit or add block settings, I don't have a section "display options." Directly under the "Edit Block" section is the "Style Options" section.  Is there a problem  or is there something in admin I have to activate?

:-[ Thanks for your help.  :-[

EDIT: a similar issue: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=13960.msg69269#msg69269 have a look with the default theme and see if it works please.

rexall,

Was this custom theme installed after Simple Portal? If it was then I can suggest either place the SP css file in the custom theme's css directory or you can uninstall Simple Portal & install it again which should place the file there automatically.

I attempted to merge those other posts to this topic where they belong but it would not let me do that (it only allows split topic)
I  just deleted those other posts since they no longer serve any purpose beyond what is already in this thread.
My apologies for the error.

Regards.

Thanks for your help, Chen, but unfortunately, no joy!   :'(  First, it was a long time ago, and I do not recall which came first, SP or the custom theme.  Probably the custom theme.

In any event, I copied the portal.css file to the css folders of the curve and default themes.   Problem, not corrected.  I reset the forum to the core theme, but same problem with add/edit blocks; the display options dialog does not show. I have other SMF sites using various themes.  I check and see if I can duplicate the error on them.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you modified the PortalAdminBlocks.php file in any way?
What SimplePortal addon mods have you installed, if any?

I think you didn't *really* try it :P

Let's clarify. "Core" theme is not the "Real" default theme, the real default theme is just... The "Default theme", also known as "Curve".
If you tried with "Core" theme then you didn't try with the default theme.

However, my nose suggests me that something else could be wrong, did you already try to reinstall SimplePortal? Maybe you ignored some errors while installing it? Did you install it on all themes or did you forget to check the tickbox for the custom theme(s)?
Have you tried SimplePortal Documentation before asking? ;)

Thanks, again.  I'll reinstall SP and see what happens.  I am using a variation on the curve theme.  However, neither here nor there, same problem with all the themes I have installed/available. However, I have this same theme on another forum http://www.SecularRecovery.com and don't have this problem.  I also have two other forums with very different custom themes, and no problems.  Go figure!  Thanks for bearing with me!

Unless you hit "Delete all data related to this modification" checkbox while uninstalling, it shouldn't.
