Title: 2 Problems, 1 with Calendar and 1 with Revolving Logo .gif image
Post by: alison22000 on January 17, 2011, 03:38:38 PM
I have simple portal 2.3.2 installed on my smf 2.0 RC 3 version forum, and I have a problem with the calendar I have installed. I am not very good with text editing and I need to install a calendar that will work with my forum type and also that will have options to add events etc on the calendar.

My 2nd problem is that I changed the theme a couple of days ago and apparently I can still use my logo but I don't know where the logo is located on my forum, I heard that simple portal changes some directories or something, maybe thats a lie, but I was hoping someone might know where I can add my logo, I am using a Theme called Dark Mark from the SMF Theme's database.

I notice your calendar here, is that an easy one to get? Pls I badly need some support. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, your two issues (Calendar and Dark Mark theme) are not related to SimplePortal.

SMF comes with a calendar. You do not need to install a calendar. simply enable the Calendar feature of your SMF forum.

For more information on the Calendar feature, you should check at simplemachines.org

If you uploaded a logo image file to your forum, it probably wound up in one of your Theme directories. whichever one you put it in. Search in the subdirectories of the Theme directory where you added the logo. Perhaps /Themes/default/images?

For more information on themes and graphics in SMF, you should ask at simplemachines.org

For more information about the theme you just added to your forum, you can ask at that theme's thread at simplemachines.org.

SimplePortal does make changes to your forum's files, adds files to your forum's directories, and even adds a directory to Themes/default/images. That's how it changes your forum. SimplePortal does not, however, remove forum logos.
