coolsanth,

Navigate to: Admin -> Server Settings -> Database and Paths and ensure the 4 inputs at the bottom of that template have the correct paths. Also make sure the db settings on that page are correct.
There are also path inputs on the Current Theme settings page, ensure they are correct.

Regards.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. All the paths are correct, because i'm able to install all other packages. Is there any manual way i can install by extracting the contents of the zip file?

While installing through package manager, I'm getting below message -

Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager. Note you can also do this manually using an FTP client - to view a list of the affected files please click here.

After i click the here, the following is getting displayed.

The following files need to made writable to continue installation:

Please help. Thank you.

Since SimplePortal modifies a lot of files in SMF, the chances are high that you don't have them all writable. Can you make sure that all the files and directories that SimplePortal needs to modify are writable using your FTP client?
