Title: Shoutbox Modification.
Post by: cnashx on December 27, 2011, 05:38:51 PM
Hello.
I was wondering if there was a way to host the shoutbox on an external host and link it back to the original forum.
I know this can be done but my main issue is that I would like to use the original forum's user database to use the shoutbox.

I have been trying to work this out since my host has made me disable my shoutbox and I am currently using an external free shoutbox to make my users happy.

Please help.

Thank you.

Webhostinghub.

You would be advised to look for a different host.

These people are oversellers.

Unlimited Disk Space
Unlimited Bandwidth

Neither of the above exist.

I'd advise you have a look at the hosting board on www.simplemachines.org

I have no problems with them besides my shoutbox.
This is why I'm looking to host the shoutbox externally and just link it in but with the original member database.
