Problem with SP 2.1.1 and SMF Articles Mod
« on: March 13, 2009, 08:27:49 AM »
Hi :-)
I have this problem after installation of SMF Articles Mod by vbgamer.
In Admin area, when i click to Articles in SimplePortal panel, it opens conguration page of SMF Articles!
I have this link in SP Articles ( in Admin area):
http://www.macroforum.org/index.php?action=admin;area=articles;

The link of SMF Articles MOD is:
http://www.macroforum.org/index.php?action=admin;area=articles;sa=admin;
How can resolve this ? I can change area=articles in area=articoli in the link of SP ?

Thanks!
Antonio

Find in ../Sources/Admin.php:
Code: [Select]
'articles' => array(
'label' => $txt['sp-adminColumnArticles'],
'file' => 'SPortalAdmin2.php',
'function' => 'SPortalAdmin_Articles',
'subsections' => array(
'list' => array($txt['sp-adminArticleListName']),
'add' => array($txt['sp-adminArticleAddName']),
),
),
Replace with:
Code: [Select]
'articoli' => array(
'label' => $txt['sp-adminColumnArticles'],
'file' => 'SPortalAdmin2.php',
'function' => 'SPortalAdmin_Articles',
'subsections' => array(
'list' => array($txt['sp-adminArticleListName']),
'add' => array($txt['sp-adminArticleAddName']),
),
),

Find in ../Sources/SPortalAdmin2.php:

Code: [Select]
area=articoli
Find in ../Themes/default/SPortalAdmin2.template.php:

Thanks!!!
Now works perfect...almos perfect.
If i click to Topic-Sezione-Poster-Tempo-Categoria-Approvato the problem is the same ( minor problem), it opens SMF Articles Mod page ( see attached screenshot)
I find other matches of area=articles but they aren't.
Thanks!

Yagiz/Antonio

Many thanks for this. I'd previously posted on this one and thought it had not been resolved. Good to get that fixed

Did this conflict with SMF Articles get reported as a bug for fixing in future releases? Anyone using will get this issue...

Its not really a 'bug' as such, but it is an issue that could be resolved. For the moment you can use the method described in this topic to fix the issue.
