My Board: SMF 1.1.7
SimplePortal Version: 2.1
The bug I've come across is when you name the Board News block...it doesn't appear. Instead, the Topic ID is shown as the name for the block.

Thank you for reporting this :D
-
Confirmed bug:
+ boardNews block wrong link
Thanks Saviour.
-
You're welcome...
-
This is fixed with 2.1.1.
-
Unfortunately, Blue Dream...it isn't...I installed the latest version...and it still does the same thing.
-
I may have misunderstood then. Can you post a screen shot of what the error is?
-
Actually...you don't really need a screenshot...just go to my portal page:

In the admin control panel of SimplePortal, you can create a Board News Block, correct? I named the block: "Site News & Announcements"
I have also specified the board id, as well as the number of topics to display...in this case, one topic.
I have it set to display avatars, as well.
However, it doesn't show the name of the block...instead, it pulls the topic id and cannot be collapsible, as well.
The block I'm referring to is the block that is named: "Member Awards - November 2008... | 29 Nov 08"
This should read: "Site News & Announcements"...correct? Since that's what I specified in the Board News Block edit.

Hmmm normal all Blocks are pased though the normal create... strange why it not work with that block. (I can't confirm it yet, but i will try it later.)

Ah, you mean the Topic name by "Topic ID". That's an intended behavior. Board News block now behaves like articles feature. The difference is, it shows topics from the board you select, not articles.
Maybe in the next version, we can add an option to show it as it was before. If you really want that, I can provide you the codes.
But, that's not a bug.
