Title: board problem
Post by: rollingrock on September 10, 2013, 04:03:29 PM
Hey folks

Newbie to this site but using SP and SMF for a while now.

I have left and right blocks loaded on the site.   But when people look at photos they have to scroll so I have removed the right blocks from one side while viewing that particular board but is there some kind of setting i am missing to make the center or SMF re-size when using SimplePortal?

Thanks you very much,

RR

Maybe someone more knowledgeable will reply but you said it yourself - its an SMF problem and not a Simple Portal one. I suggest you look at mods or get help on the SMF site.
They might have mods for automatically resizing photos uploaded.

yeah funny, the SMF team says to post on the SP site.  LOL.  I think I figured out a work around...I just removed both left and right blocks when that board.

You should be able to use the forum-width setting in the admin panel for SMF to resize it and then I also think in SP there is a way to make the blocks on each side thinner.

Welcome to SimplePortal!

As suggested above, you can disable the side blocks for that board, or change the width of side blocks or increase the width of the whole site.

If the only problem is pictures in posts, you could also have SMF resize them automatically. You can find the setting for this at Admin > Configuration > Features and Options > Layout page.
