I was working on something for my site but it requires a 'weatherbug API code'
but you can go to weatherbug as well as theweatherchannel and they have code for pasting for city code specific arears, works very well.

I just use the free Weather Search Box by WeatherZone

weather.com

gotta make a user account
weatherbug.com

What about a weather block for the country, but the users can choose for a drop down list the city and local weather. That would be nice.
Later edit.
Oops...if this topic is just for australian region ...sorry for posting. (but the ideea remains)
