Topic: Recent Topics Block Read/Unread

I was wondering if someone could help me make the recent topics block icon work the way it does in the forum, where it uses on.gif for new topics and off.gif for read topics.  As of right now it looks like all topics default to the topic.gif icon.  Any help would be appreciated.

Try this edit for the SPortal1-1.php file (should be the same for SPortal2.php):

Find this code:

Replace with this code:

It didn't work though.  I tried changing the img src to the full url for the images as well and it still didn't work.  Any ideas why?

The edit above works perfectly for me for SMF 1.1.8. What is shown instead of those images when you apply that edit?

If you want, then you can post that file and I can apply/check the edit, but it should work properly anyway.

That edit wouldn't work as you are using SimplePortal 2.1.1.
