Hello, this is actually the first time i try to install SimplePortal, so i download the archive, and upload it on my website through admin panel's packages manager.
Upload successful, then when i do "Install mod", it returns an error:
An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!
What does this exactly mean?
I mean, i understand the text, but how can i know what files are missing?
The whole www/ folder (and its fubfolders) are Chmod 777.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks a lot!

Try creating a temp directory within your Package directory and then chmod it to 0777 as well. Then try the installation again.

Thanks a lot, it succeeeded in installing the package.
But it actually installed no file (only modified some), so had to upload most files myself.
I'm just wondering one thing about this:
where do admins/ images go?
Well, i'm not actually seeing anything about SimplePortal in the AdminCenter, so i just thought it could be because of images. But if you have another idea...

Images go into the 'Themes/{themename}/images' folder. The SimplePortal 'sp' and 'admin' folders need to be put into that SMF directory.
Its more likely that your issue is related to language strings though, you need to copy the contents of the SimplePortal 'languages' directory into the 'Themes/default/languages' directory.

THANKS A LOT.
Moved the files you indicated manually, and now all works :P
